[ Silco could, he thinks. He could kill Osiris. Shatter his Shard, were he to come to Kenos; Silco would, because Silco knows what it feels like to be utterly betrayed, made vulnerable and loathsome and persecuted. Even if Silco continues to portray himself as the most uncharming victim, Set remembers being a cruel monster, rather than being seen as less than a man. ]

It does not matter. You will kill her, and your soul will be given away in trade — in the end, neither of you will ever truly keep a promise to me. You will betray your word, at the end.

[ That much, he has conceded to. Either Quetzalcoatl will survive and prove him wrong, or he will be right. Either way — no one will ever choose him, over all else. So, he folds his hands in his lap and turns his face from Silco's urging.

Quiet, and awaiting the end of things. The end of Quetzalcoatl, who would protect him. The end of Silco, who would be his ally. ]

I will urge them to strike and be unforgiving. I, myself, will strike a sound blow as well, independent of it. I want war and all that comes with it, and for this tenuous peace to last so long is stifling. Now, it is time to rip the world up at its roots, and see what becomes of our journey.
