Well, I’ll clear up a misunderstanding to start. Ain’t a matter of want. I call the god shit my job because that’s about as good of an analogy as exists, but it runs deeper than that. We exist to serve a purpose to the world at a cosmic level, and there’s no free will involved there, in a manner of speakin’.

That’s the trade-off, at least in my opinion. Being mortal means you don’t have the kinda power a god has, sure, but you have the ability to decide your own destiny. Your life’s yours to live however you want.
