POWER PERMISSIONS
Silco has some powers in Kenos, and in the interest of having open availability for plotting, please fill out the form enclosed.
First off, the powers:
I'm will only use these powers only after discussing with players at the time the threads are happening. There will be no invisible "nothing personal kids" without your explicit permission! This is just as a prime the pump in terms of who is up for what, so that I'm not pushing any unwanted plotting on you! Permission from you is never a guarantee that we'll do it, but it lets me know if you're interested!!

Shimmer Touch

Are you interested in any addiction plotlines in the future with plotting/discussion?: ALWAYS with your explicit consent at the time that we're plotting it! This is just whether or not it is within the realm of possibility, but it is not a requirement for the shimmer touch to work!

First off, the powers:
Shimmer Touch
Similar to his Teamfight Tactics incarnation Silco will be able to pass along essentially the effects of a sizeable shimmer dose to others. This is dispensed with skin-to-skin touch – so Silco would have to touch people to achieve the effects.
The effects of these would be a temporary increase in many "base stats" to an individual, for about 10 minutes. Shimmer grats the following effects:
- Increased strength (Beyond human, but we aren't talking superman, able to throw a carriage about 10-15 ft)
- Increased speed (Again, no Flash speed, but beyond human)
- Increased durability - Able to take more hits and harder to break skin/bones, but you WILL feel it after the effects wear off.
- Decreased will and intelligence (Think like a berserk condition - you probably aren't hurting loved ones, but not exactly going to be making tactical decisions either)
- Temporary physical mutations (bulging purple veins, some folks get pustules, your body kind of gets a little bigger, like all the muscles in your body are suddenly RAMPED UP, but at least your eyes glow!) that disappear after the effects vanish.
Like normal shimmer, they would have addictive effects with repeated use -- if used on a PC, this would be more opt-in given a shard bearer’s extraordinary abilities, etc. I really only want this option for opt-in type plotting with players, or NPC plotting with mod approval.
In addition, since this is like drug powers and touch activated, Silco can control the “dosage” and effects, so that he can split the effects up if needed – great for manipulating those kiddos to coming for shimmer doses etc etc. Channeling shimmer does take up Silco’s own energy, so he cannot do more than 2 shimmer touches in quick succession, without suffering strong limitations to his own stamina – 3 in a single quick fight will cause him to weaken considerably (to the point of stumbling around) and 4 would cause him to entirely pass out. Once he recovers strength/gets away and has a lengthy breather (like… a few hours, get a snackie etc) he can go again – although with a higher danger of it completely sapping his stamina until he passes out.
Lastly! Silco's Shimmer abilities have a chance to transfer Discord from him into his victim. this has to be opt-in from the player, but the amount of discord transferred can vary!
Make Them Worse
When actively used, Silco will be able to see/know something about a character that can be utilized to influence toward making a character dip their toes toward the monstrous. This could be something like an insecurity, a crime from their past, or perhaps something that was done to them, that makes them angry, hurt, or weak, a feeling that they don't like, or even something they wanted to do that they never felt that they could. A facet of their personalities and/or complexes that if they indulge in the feelings of, would trend them toward making bad decisions.
And what makes this power a major power? Using this power, Silco will be able to push those facets of a character, whether it's an insecurity, bad feels, whatever, and influence the character to indulge in those traits/facets. It does not allow him to control a character, but consider it a low-level influence, that when he pushes against these insecurities in conversation, the character may feel the emotions stronger, or be willing to embrace the emotions more, or do the thing they don't think they should even if it feels good. These effects do not linger with any major permanency -- but I leave it up to the other player to determine how long the effects linger (Generally no more than a day). And of course, even when the influence, or the "push" is gone, Characters are allowed to continue to ruminate on it, on how it feels, or how they feel after. There's no memory loss or a feeling of possession or anything like that, the character is fully cognizant -- but it's not really an apparent influence either -- although it's weird that it happened after talking to Silco, huh? :|a
So! For example! Character A feels deep guilt about stealing something from a shop when they were hungry back home, and even worse that they felt good about it, and victorious. Silco, seeing that they feel guilt about enjoying stealing, pushes this in conversation through (naturally) a rant about how stealing from their betters is totally fine. The influence works its magic on the character. The character, having had an interesting talk with Silco, will make a bad decision on their way home, and will take something from a shop, because they wanted it. Of course, it feels good, it always had, but perhaps the guilt isn't there anymore, at least not in the moment. Obviously, our blorbos can feel bad about it later as much as we want -- which just makes it better, as they spiral into a string of poor decisions.

Are you interested in any addiction plotlines in the future with plotting/discussion?: Hmmmmmmmm. Let's see if this ever comes up in the game, and discuss then. Tentatively open to the possibility, but not actively seeking that particular spiral for Atsumu at the moment.

If yes, what are the things that would hold a character back from becoming worse?: Having lived a normal life, Atsumu has never had to do risky or illegal things to get what he wants. He's never been pushed in a way that would make him worse in any serious way, and shaky the moral standards he's grown up with will be difficult for him.

Any specific weaknesses you would like highlighted?: Most of Atsumu's crummy traits aren't things he feels particularly guilty about, but he did have people around him who would put him in check when he got particularly bad. Just to give you something to work with those traits included: egotism, saying careless/hurtful things, goading people into behaviors/actions, lording people's weakness over them, digging at people's insecurities

If yes, what are the things that would hold a character back from becoming worse?: Absolutely nothing — except for a desire simultaneously so strong but so tiny to do the right thing. He's a broken person, and has lived most of his life that way, knowing he'll never fit into society and not caring, but he's retained juuuust enough of a beating heart to want to be a good person. He doesn't always know what being a good person actually entails, but he does want it. The desire is tiny because it can be easily covered up depending on circumstances, but strong because it's somehow managed to survive all the shit he's been through that could have made anyone else just give up. He didn't though,

Green Light! Any specific weaknesses you would like highlighted?: Exploit the hell out of the fact that he wants to be a good person but doesn't know how to be one/doesn't think he can be one on his own.

Any that you're ok with using, but would prefer a heads up?: Anything relating to his background as a child prostitute, especially if it has a means to come up explicitly rather than speaking in vague terms — because that is kind of where everything starts for him, but also, you know, the subject matter lmao,

Nope! But worth noting that if Silco ever does this without Sebastian agreeing to it, he would be very unhappy about it because of how Sebastian values his self-control. OOC, Silco is welcome to do it, but it’s likely to shift Sebastian’s interactions with him where he’ll intentionally be cruel to Silco at any opportunity. To give you a concrete example, Sebastian’s default once he finds out about Jinx will be to not really comment on it one way or the other minus curiosity, but if their CR flips this way, he’d very intentionally dig into Silco’s fear that Jinx might leave him. In short, any fear or insecurity that Silco has, Sebastian will rip into it cruelly. He’ll still be perfectly obedient otherwise, of course.
Also since the context would be in like plot purposes I’m sure, it’s worth noting that this is SUPER dangerous to uhhhh anyone else. Like, ignoring RP etiquette and logic for the sake of explanation, he could and would murder hundreds of people in that state, like it would be a Problem. But I’m down OOC! There are just Considerations bc he’s a fucking monster LMFAO

Are you interested in any addiction plotlines in the future with plotting/discussion?: no, he smokes pipe weed and probably some opium-adjacent substances, but he'd be uninterested in this poor people stuff (affectionate).

Are you interested in Silco using the Make Them Worse power on your character?: you absolutely may.
If yes, what are the things that would hold a character back from becoming worse?: straight-up his intellect and his rationality. he loves the control he has over himself and others. if those were taken away from him or used against him, you could see a noticeable change in him.
Are you interested in plotting this over time?: if you want silco to get maimed and/or killed, yes, i super am! he is totally insane when it comes to nerevar, so he would go on a silco hunt if these things were to be used against him.
Green Light! Any specific weaknesses you would like highlighted?: voryn was betrayed in a big way by his lord and best friend nerevar, and together both voryn and nerevar were betrayed by three of his closest councilmembers. he would feel angry, distressed, angry, hurt, and angry!!!
Yellow Light! Any that you're ok with using, but would prefer a heads up? hmm, i think i'd like a warning for all of this stuff because there are many ways voryn could defend against something like this, but speaking specifically, anything goes.

May Silco use Shimmer Touch on this character?:: yes :) but, does silco WANT to use shimmer touch on set, does he REALLY?
Are there any restrictions you would like to place?: He'd prefer to agree to it, is all. If Silco were to hit him with Shimmer without them bargaining on it and unleash him on mutual enemies, he'd be more forgiving — though, still upset with him. If it happened and Silco released him on Set's allies, it'd be a whole other story. For the most part, Set feels that he and Silco have an unspoken #thing about explicit betrayal (i.e. conditional commitment, forming an alliance against him while pretending to be allied with him, betrayal of mutual ideals).
Can Silco transfer Discord to your character?: Bring it on, he's the GOD of discord!!!

Are you interested in Silco using the Make Them Worse power on your character?: 8) yes,
If yes, what are the things that would hold a character back from becoming worse?: His promise with Anubis to atone for his crimes ( e.g. the mass murder of women and children and the subsequent rending of their souls to make an arsenal of weapons ) would hinder him from hurting innocents. Silco is welcome to prey on this, if he's able to. Set's love for Anubis is, essentially, on the same level as Silco's love for Jinx. Additionally, Set is a "young" variation of himself; he's a younger god, and doesn't have the connection with his full divinity yet, including the fact that in the future he is attributed to/is actually a demon, himself.
Set's perfectly willing to become the long, dark, horrible shadow. He's actually fated for this role in Egyptian myth, as for Order to even have the Right to Exist, Chaos must oppose it. Set doesn't mind doing bad things at all, though he simultaneously struggles with the need to keep his promise and atone for them. OOCly, I'm a huge fan of characters taking one step forward and two steps back, because nobody ever has a perfectly linear redemption OR corruption arc, and I what I want for Set is actually a balance of the two: in his corruption, he has a sense of redemption, even though it's going to be bittersweet. :>

Childe is someone who chases ways to make himself stronger, sometimes regardless of the consequences (as long as they don't outright kill him, but negative side effects are Fine bc he's crazy). So I feel like Shimmer is absolutely something he would take advantage of, if he knew about it. However, he'd prefer to be in control of himself... or at least know Silco better before he opts in. I don't think it would take too much convincing however. He canonically uses a weapon that drains his own life force, so.

If yes, what are the things that would hold a character back from becoming worse?: Honestly, this is tough, because Childe is transparent about his intentions most of the time and admits to being a bad person. What holds him back from becoming worse — or more on par with his Fatui colleagues — is his dislike of scheming/plotting and maybe his love of his family. I'd say his family is what humanizes him the most. He generally tries to avoid hurting innocents (unless it can't be helped in the path to his goals), but he's still a terrorist, so he's morally gray. To get him over to the dark side, he'd need his humanity challenged.
Are you interested in plotting this over time?: Absolutely! I don't really have an idea of where Childe will go yet, but I do want to push him deeper into the Zenith alignment.
Green Light! Any specific weaknesses you would like highlighted?: Childe doesn't really have... insecurities... LMAO HE'S SO CONFIDENT AND UNBOTHERED. However, he does have trauma related to his past, where he used to be incredibly weak/helpless and was exposed to the "Abyss", an other-world full of terrifying monsters. That helped to erode the little boy he used to be. Targeting this trauma of self is 100% feasible. Also targeting his love of his family, since that's his softest spot.
