[Lilias’s gifts arrive later than is traditional, owing to an ill-timed winter cold—but after her recovery, she chooses to deliver her holiday presents in person. Tucked into a gift bag stuffed with colourful paper are a bottle of a very nice, smoky scotch, and a leather cigar case with a few pleasant-smelling cigars. All likely wasted on Silco, but Lilias clearly thought they would make nice gifts.
A small card is tucked into the bag, bearing a note in a firm, elegant hand:]
Silco,
I trust you made good use of your holiday leisure. The winter tradition where I come from would be to make gifts by hand, but in lieu of that, I hope you enjoy these tokens. Please try to contain your disappointment at not receiving a hand-knitted scarf instead.
