Are there people with special, supernatural abilities where you are from? You may not be aware of it. Our world hides it, as one would, to keep the general population from panicking. It would help your cause in plenty of ways if that existed.
Not where I am from. The powers that be, that subjugate my people have banned it wholesale, and have for a long, long time. Only recently has magic become available, and it is out of our hands, without thievery or terrorism.

That is certainly unfortunate, that all means are far from your reach. We were lucky in that regard; it is not magic, but I suppose one could see it as such, and it's something that every individual has the potential to come to.

No. Where I am from, only certain people have a certain skillset. We have it, so when our hometown is in danger, we return.
