not jokin. wanna know how the two of you are handling the two of you you know with all the stabbing and sitting on you and then the stabbing and then there's you know the me of it all you know.
[ On her way from point A to point B (point B being the hospital), Sevika will be doling out a warning to all her fellow Runeterrans: ]
Etraya has been compromised. Do not trust anyone who got pulled in after the train mission.
See network for further details.
[ Look, she's busy. She'll chat if she can, but expect it to be brief. Also, she 100% expects Silco to already be keeping track of her little post on the network, but even so... ]
[Literally just before Vander steps through the portal to the Solmara mission, he decides to send a message that he has composed. It should be clear that this isn't an off-the-cuff message but one he's probably been working on for a few days.]
I'm heading to Solmara to see what can be done about the overthrown brother of Aurora. Sevika and Caitlyn are also going, so I'll be keeping an eye on them, since there is no guarantee for our safety and return. Death seems like a potential permanent factor too. Honestly, it sounds like home when we were kids just with more actual magic.
Do yourself a favour and find a hobby or something; you do this self-destructive thing when you have too much time to think and nothing to apply it to. This place is going to grind you down. How do I know? It's already happening.
And stop being an asshole to Sevika. She's loyal to you to the bitter end. She says it's Zaun - and it is - but she relies on you and your wild controlling plans to make it happen. She's got your back.
Take of Jinx while I'm gone. She has a bright future ahead of her, and it needs to be cultivated and protected.
As for us, if I don't come back, I suppose this means that you won again, right? You've always been an asshole for as long as I've known you, but you've always been my asshole. We've done a lot of shit things to each other over the years, and I'm done apologizing for my part and I know there will be no apology from you. We stole each other's happiness. Fair trade, I guess.
Anyway, I guess this is good-bye. For a little while or permanently. So, so long, Slugger. Remember, first two knuckles hurt them, last two hurt you. Have fun at summer camp or don't.
[ Once Sevika knew she'd be shipping out to Solmara to get the lay of the land, there was one thing she couldn't leave festering. Silco. She wouldn't try messaging him first as that would be pointless and irritating, inevitably left on read, so, no. Instead, she just shows up.
And waits.
It's one of those rare times Silco actually leaves the station and when he does finally return, he'll find his office already occupied by Sevika herself, idly smoking while she waits. Despite considering it, she hasn't taken a seat in his chair, behind his desk, because it would send the wrong message.
But there is a couch off to the side and that's good enough to hang out on, in the dark, watching the murky aquarium overhead until that door creaks open. Maybe he already smelled the fresh smoke of a cigarette, maybe he already expects someone, or maybe not. When he does finally appear, she simply looks at him. ]
So. [ So what? ] Looks like you haven't burnt the place down yet.
[ He slinks in, though as soon as he made it to the underground space, he knew something was... off. Jinx was generally easy to identify when she was in, and the only other person who know that this existed was Sevika — though he did not doubt that Vander also could find the way were he properly motivated —
It's his office where they are. The smell of smoke isn't as reassuring as it should be.
He opens the door with his knife out, though not ready to go at her. Just in his hand, idle. His other holds a bottle of liquor. Go figure.
His lips twitch, and he looks Sevika up and down.
He's surprised she wasn't in his seat, given what he knew now. It would have been just typical, usurping him, wouldn't it? Ah, maybe that's why she hasn't done it. ]
I'm perfectly capable of not setting things on fire, Sevika.
[ He says in a voice that's just a tad bit too tired. He sets the bottle on the desk, and rounds it. His knife is on the desk now, stabbed in. It isn't the one he used to keep, but it's something. ]
Come to gloat again?
[ It should sound meaner, it would, if Silco were... alright, but he sounds... tired. Probably more tired than he should, given the time of day. ]
[ If he sounded anything less than tired, she'd have been irritated beyond belief by the question. Even so, of all the damn stupid things to ask... Her gaze follows him as he makes his way around the desk. ]
I never gloated in the first place, Silco. You know that.
[ Because she hadn't. She couldn't even recall what this mysterious future her had said, or done. Had she gloated? Had she simply told him everything he never wanted to hear? She didn't know, yet all the blame still fell squarely on her shoulders. ]
(Here is a map. An incredibly complicated, puzzling map is sent to both Silco and Vander on different days, confusing directions towards the hole under the ground in the station. Enjoy, it makes zero sense, but she has faith in you and your old man spine.)
(So she can't say he's old and withering and about to break his back if he bends down to pick something off the ground but he can??? Unfair. Double standard.
But she's spinning in her chair, arms up as she gestures towards the very known space. She knew he could get here in one piece.)
Right?! We should start construction! It's too bright up there anyway.
Yeah. I saw the fake lab he's preparing for the belfry. Said the real one is somewhere secret. Told me to do whatever tasks you have. Moving freight under cover of darkness, that kind of thing.
Oh, I'm Jason, in case he didn't give you my name.

I'm at least getting a map of Solmara from one of them. They've been unhelpful otherwise.
People want to go barging in to play hero, and it's making me real damn twitchy.
